    Description


    The onboard SPD products are designed to meet the stringent requirement that the onboard miniaturized SPD should not catch fire under extreme power frequency overload.


    This product also meets the latest TOV overload performance requirements and other performance requirements in iec61643:11-2011, gb18802.11-2016 and UL1449 third edition.It meets the requirement of power frequency overload 800V 100A and can't afford fire;It has full independent intellectual property rights.

    Advantages Compared with Other Transient Suppressors


    1. Better Thermal Properties
    A silicon suppressor has only one P-N junction to handle the current, but varistor has millions of P-N junctions to offer better
    energy dissipation capability and peak current handling capability.

    2. Speed of Response
    The action of varistor is similar to that of other semiconductor devices, and its conduction happens very fast (nanosecond
    range). In other words, varistor is fast enough to response to any practical requirements.

    3. Stable Clamping Voltage over Temperature
    Beyond the breakdown point, the clamping voltage of varistor is almost constant over wide range of operating temperature
    while the clamping voltage of zener diode is higher at upper operation temperature. Even though leakage current of varistor
    increases following the rise of temperature, its clamping voltage is temperature independent.

    4. Capacitance
    Compared with zener diodes, varistors have higher capacitance. Depending on the application, transient suppressor
    capacitance can be a desirable or undesirable feature. In DC circuits, the capacitance of varistors provides both decoupling
    and transient voltage clamping functions.

    5. Less Expensive
    Compared with diodes, varistor has small size and is cost-effective


    Varistor Manufacturering Process

    To ensure the highest performance and maximum reliability, tight on-line control is maintained in automated manufacturing techniques.The manufacturing process flow shows each step of the manufacturing process and clearly demonstrates the importance attached to on-line control.Each major step of the manufacturing process is described in the following sections:


    MILLING AND MIXING
    Incoming materials are checked, weighed, milled and mixed
    for several hours to make a homogeneous mixture.


    GRANULATION
    A binder is added to produce larger granules for processing.


    PRESSING
    The surface area and thickness of the disc help to determine the final electrical characteristics of the varistor, therefore
    pressing is a very important stage in the manufacturing process. The granulated powder is fed into dies and formed
    into discs using a high speed rotary press.


    Quality Assurance Process


    1.Our company's varistors are delivered to users after being tested according to the following standards by our quality unit. The products should meet the technical characteristic indexes of corresponding type; the technical capacity of manufacturing the equipment and the precision of testing equipment should also meet the requirements. The following tests need to be tested to assure stable and high quality. Testing and purification of incoming raw materials


    2.Testing and purification of incoming raw materials

    The physical-chemical performances of all raw materials should be tested by required procedures. Some metallic oxide for producing varistors should be purified by our company's original purification technology. This assures the varistor's quality further.


    3.Final test

    We set quality controlled points in the technological process. The products should be tested after every techno-logical process. Meanwhile the production process control was estimated by the uninterrupted monitoring, testing and timely quality analysis.
